Pia Chevalier is an independent designer and ceramist who trained in design and crafts at the Ecole Boulle, with a particular focus on decoration and surface treatments, and is now based at Poush, Aubervilliers.
At once raw and refined, Pia Chevalier's work manages to unite two characteristics that might seem opposites, but which allow her creations to be rooted in both tradition and contemporaneity. While her most emblematic works are in ceramics, Pia also masters working with steel, brass, fabric and copper. She chooses to design everyday objects such as vases, lamps, mugs, tables, etc., or “pure” sculptures with no utilitarian value.
For this first collaboration, we have decided to showcase both facets of Pia's work, by presenting sculptures as well as objects. Whatever its nature, each piece is always unique.
